The genetic blueprint of electronic music featuring the cream of Sydney's production and djing talent @ Club 77 - The sound of the underground!

Sinister Sequence
Sinister sequence is spawned from a collaboration of Sydney producers, S.E.T.H, SENSUM and HEDONIX. Formed in 2006, the project was conceived to bring a new dimension to each producers main focus and serves as a delivery system for each artist to bring to the dancefloor their own unique technique, with a synergy of minds and a crossover in style. For psychedelic mayhem and intelligent design S.E.T.H serves as the acts brainchild while Sensum gives the driving force with a dose of patented spiritual awakenings albeit TANTRUMZ. Of course, as in any three-way, Hedonix provides splashes of Humour to go with what remains music with serious attitude. SINISTER SEQUENCE is bass-line heavy, driving power dance music with a balance of psycho's and nitwits.

The powerful and driving combination of S.E.T.H and SENSUM meets the Comedic audacity of hedonix - as described by one avid fan

With upcoming releases on Electric power pole records and another 3 hr set booked for the now synonomous sydney psylabel, SINISTER SEQUENCE is live music for dancefloors!

Hi all!

This Friday night we are cranking another DNA party at Club 77

DNA feat SUNCONTROLSPECIES - IBOGA RECORDS - LIVE + DJ SET : FRI 30TH OF MAY @ CLUB 77 - Proggressive and psytrance

The second round of DNA will feature one of Iboga Record's top acts : SUN CONTROL SPECIES gracing us with both a live set and a dj set of the freshest Iboga tracks.

Drooid a.k.a Suncontrolspecies has become a standard amongst the australian trance scene since the turn of the millenium. A fully accredited musician and engineer, working from 98-2000 as a commercial sound engineer and producer in Sydney, he eventually left to pursue his own music career. After deciding against joining a 'boy band' [for obvious reasons!] the project SCS was born. Now based in Melbourne, his countless perfomances and tireless travels all across australias thriving scene, has brought a solid reputation for the unique style and feel SCS brings to the table.

Also extensively travelling the globe, playing alongside almost every other major artist on planets like Denmark, USA, Israel, France, Croatia, and Japan to name a few. With many credits to his name, like live SCS sets recorded and aired for over 1 million people in scandanavia alone, headlining festivals such as Rainbow Serpent three years in a row, and being recognised by peers and punters alike as having a 'node' of originality that is crucial in todays scene. Released on progressive labels like Zenon, Sub-machine and Zma, Domo, and firmly working with IBOGA, remixing artists such as FREq, Antix and Behind Blue Eyes, SCS is an all-rounder who's deep, emotional and uplifting music has been inspiring people 'on' and 'off' dance floors for years

Locals: Raptor, Jeannie, Sylk, Ben ET

Venue: Club 77 - 77 William St, Kings Cross
Entry: $20 before 11 pm and more after - doors open 9.30 pm (mention this post for 2-for-1 entry)

STOLEN MUSIC GEAR [11 Feb 2007|05:58pm]

matt_hell
sean from crackwhore had all his gear stolen from his car last night, even his phone. alas we were joking about it after the crackwhore gig at spectrum on friday night and how he would have to quit music since he cant afford to replace his gear...

so i was hoping that since his gear is fairly unique, you people might be able to keep an eye out for it in your travels around hock shops, guitar shops, pubs, dodgy drug dealers and wherever i else i tend to see music gear for sale or in use.

- there's a mesa boogie triaxis preamp and mesa boogie 50:50 poweramp in an injection molded plastic rack.
- two yamaha guitars that kinda look like warped telecasters and have everything on them upgraded. 1 x maple and 1 x black.
- and there will be a buncha leads and pedals including a green george dennis wah.

pic of guitar with amp in background kinda sortaCollapse )

thanks to everyone who came on friday night and rocked out at the crackwhore show. i thought it was shit but people tell me it was really good. hopefully its not the last time you get hear sean's mesa boogie rig.

we are headlining the sando next sunday 18th so come down and throw money so we can buy sean new gear. supports are feed the horse (ex hard ons) and the new archetypes. $5 entry, doors open at 7.

sorry im posting this EVERYWHERE i can think of, i just wanna try to get his gear back...

Thanks to the power of Pandora with several weeks of tweaking to get the seeding just right, I have launched the following Radio Stations:
Human Fly Radio

Fire Starter Radio

Hellbilly Radio

Each one reflects a style I have previously DJ'ed (or wanted to), tweaked out for home listening. I would say its about 75% accurate. There are a few other themes I have in mind but you can't give away your best straight away :)

Enjoy!

The time is here my friends, the moment is now-you are but one click away from enlightenment via the hallowed vision of THE BEST THING EVER. Allow me to show you the way,you can thank me on bended knee at a later date...

Ministry Tour 2006 -OFFICIALLY CANCELLED [07 Sep 2006|01:23pm]

decker
Chugg entertainment just notified me of the official canellation of the tour. it has also been posted on their site.

It takes a Bush presidency to bring out the best in Ministry. Chugg Entertainment is busting out the big guns at the big top, Luna Park Monday 9th Oct.

Last time around it was the Bush Senior’s term which fueled the aggression that triggered the landmark album Psalm 69; and a subsequent tour which saw Ministry headline Big Day Out and roll out a few sold out club shows which surpassed what most would describe as a religious experience.

It is little wonder then that Bush Junior’s presidency sees Ministry previous reaction look mild in comparison. The brand new album, Rio Grande Blood sees the band’s return to the best form of its career.

Al Jorgensen has mobilized the band’s greatest incarnation - Tommy Victor (Prong/Danzig), Mike Scaccia (Rigor Mortis), Paul Raven (Killing Joke/Prong), John Bechdel (Fear Factory) and Joey Jordison (Slipknot) - and declared war on the rampant greed and stupidity that has pushed the world to the brink of Armageddon.

And who better to provide the soundtrack to the end of the world than Ministry!
